This 2010 life size portrait commission was created with limited reference photos of a deceased local legend. I like a challenge. Currently resides in the Randolph County Courthouse.

Rich is a dope illustrator who sat during this portrait from the "Asheboro Series". His family is highly creative. He calls me "Honey".

-- from the 2010 Asheboro Series. One hour study. Gloria specifically asked to not render her hands, yet she wanted to appear holding a garden trowel and paint brush. Wish granted.

If the story is understood correctly, Cupid the airline pilot looks up from his cellphone and falls in love with the de-cloaked Psyche.

This piece is at a scale slightly larger than real life.
